Our varietals come from Europe’s most celebrated wine regions. Each is planted with carefully chosen clones from its home region, giving every wine more depth and complexity.
Rhône Valley, France
Syrah

At home in our loose shale and granite soil, much like the Rhône’s. It gives dark fruit, a touch of tobacco and a signature black-pepper spice.

Our Mediterranean climate closely mirrors Tuscany’s. Balanced acidity and tannin, with cherry, red currant and strawberry and a hint of Temecula minerality.

The great grape of Rioja becomes our rose-petal pink Rosé, bright with strawberry, raspberry and orange citrus.

Caring for the soil
We monitor the health of the soil ecosystem every year. During the rainy season we plant cover crops to reduce soil and nutrient loss, increase organic matter and encourage beneficial microorganisms.
Our composted granitic soil drains beautifully, and the surrounding coastal ranges draw in the morning fog that tempers the valley’s warmth.
